Final 4 2009

Michigan State and North Carolina are both headed toward a familiar place. The Spartans call it Michigan. The Heels call it the Final Four.

Michigan State (30-6) topped Louisville -- the NCAA tournament's top overall seed -- 64-52 today to advance to the Final Four next weekend at Ford Field in Detroit, which is approximately 90 miles east of its campus in East Lansing. North Carolina (32-4), one of the favorites heading into the tournament, defeated Oklahoma, 72-60, to advance to its 18th Final Four in team history, most all time.

The 2009 Final Four is expected to draw the largest crowds in NCAA history. The Final Four will commence Saturday on CBS with the championship game slated for Monday night.

Saturday's games:

6:07pm: No. 1 UConn vs. No. 2 Michigan State

8:47pm: No. 1 North Carolina vs. No. 3 Villanova
